  1. 7th Grade Reflection

    When I first arrived in August, I expected girls to be hotter than 6th grade, and for 7th grade to be easier than 6th.
    But soon I realized that 7th grade was hard. We got double to homework we did last year everyday! Science is hard, English makes it hard to procrastinate.
    By October my life was good. I was playing middle school sports for the first time! Football was having games finally and it was really fun! Offseason was hard and requires a lot of running and hardwork.
    Eventually, I figured out that blog post are hard to keep up with, because of sports, and my daily activities such as hanging out and other homework. Science is hard but gets easier as the year goes through. Mr. Baliey is a BOSS! He is the best teacher ever and one of my favorites. Mrs. Schoch has a bull whip that she threatens to use on me when I’m bad, such as behaving badly and talking out. Mrs. Ortiz loves being called Momma O, and says I’m her favorite student.
    In seventh grade I learned that Athletics is fun, but offseason is hard. I love football, track, and basketball! Teachers “hate” talkers.
    As the year comes to close school gets easier, because of staar. Teachers take it easier on you.
    If I had to do it over again, I would make sure our A-Team for football wins one game.
    My advice to next years seventh graders would be everything I said previously and make sure it to talk out of turn and procrastinate.

    Leadership is . . .

    Leadership is not about speed, ideas, efficiency, or power . . .

    It is about knowing your own limitations and celebrating the gifts of others,

    It is growing in wisdom, understanding the number of our days, and seeking to understand rather than be understood.

    It is caring for people, always hoping for, and expecting the best.

    It is being brave enough to be vulnerable in front of others.

    It is seeing the big picture of where things are, and building a road to the future with limited casualties.

    It is helping each person to sing their song from the heart, and leading the band in praise to their Maker.

    Twinkle, twinkle, little star,
    How I wonder what you are.
    Up above the world so high,
    Like a diamond in the sky.
    Twinkle, twinkle, little star,
    How I wonder what you are!

    When the blazing sun is gone,
    When he nothing shines upon,
    Then you show your little light,
    Twinkle, twinkle, all the night.
    Twinkle, twinkle, little star,
    How I wonder what you are!

    Then the traveler in the dark
    Thanks you for your tiny spark;
    He could not see which way to go,
    If you did not twinkle so.
    Twinkle, twinkle, little star,
    How I wonder what you are!

    In the dark blue sky you keep,
    While you thro’ my window peep,
    And you never shut your eye,
    Till the sun is in the sky,
    Twinkle, twinkle, little star,
    How I wonder what you are!

    This means a lot to me because my mom used to read it to me as a kid when I would go to sleep or take a nap. I loved this song my whole life and is definitely my favorite poem due to the memorial value. I had a pillow case that had stars on it because I loved the poem so much. I would look into the pillow as my mom read it. Today I still have the pillow. When I have children I will continue to read them this poem!


  4. Lacrosse

    Lacrosse is my favorite sport, and the sport that makes me want to keep playing it forever. I have been playing since the first grade. Seven years of lacrosse makes me experienced. I currently play for Westlake select Scarlet A-Team for the 7th grade. We play up, playing in the eight grade A-division. We just one our last game against the vipers, which means we are going to the playoffs. I love lacrosse


  5. Austin is amazing

    I live in a big town where people are friendly, nice, and outgoing. My town is austin. A place that is famous for South by South West, a famous series of live music, gaming, and plays. Austin is the best place I could ask to live in. There are tons of rivers, lakes, and forests. I live in a neighborhood which is a quarter of a mile to the lake. My friend drew and chase own a dock down there and we go tubing, wake boarding, and skiing a lot. Sometimes if your feeling like getting air we either swim across the lake or take a kayak across to the rope swing. When on a nice day chase and I and a couple other friends might go to the famous ski shore burger place on lake austin. This is why Austin is my favorite place to be.


  6. M.A.A.D City

    My city, Austin. Is home to live music and outdoorsman. In Austin you will find SXSW, a series of events of live music, plays, and gaming.
    Austin is known for their Mexican Free-tailed Bats that live under the bridge. People in Austin are friendly always happy and are willing to help you if you need it. We have streets known for shopping, food, and trailer food parks. There are three main lakes that we live around, Lake Travis, Lake Austin, and my favorite Lady Bird Lake. Lady Bird Lake is a river like lake that runs directly around down town austin where you get to enjoy all the fantastic views. Great fishing is known to austin, and also paddle boarding and kayaking. You should come give Austin a try!


  7. Expository Writing

    Basketball is enjoyable, dibble… dibble… dribble, crossover, run! Yelled the coach. He shoots… He scores! Basketball can be a fun sport to play.
    To begin with, basketball is enjoyable for people who want to bond friendships. When teams were made you start to learn what the people your working with are like. A majority of the time the people you know on the court aren’t the same off the court. This is when you find out who the people you know are the same person and just as much your friend. The love of the game and the search for friendship make this game so enjoyable.
    In addition basketball is a sport that many people fall in love with since they were kids. There’s something about the game that catches peoples hearts. It seems like when people play basketball, it changes their personality. If you keep your cool and listen to your coach, you’ll be just fine in the basketball word. In life you have to learn things from other people and many people will learn from you. Whether you like basketball or not you got to love the players and caches heart and desire for the game.


  8. Colorado

    A nice cool air breeze filled with crisp oxygen that is very difficult to catch. Almost as if a cornerback is guarding you the receiver trying to catch the air as if it was a football. You can feel your lungs inhaling every breath, as if your lungs are feasting on fresh, clean air that many lungs will never experience. The altitude builds your stamina and lungs so greatly that you feel like you can inhale an entire cloud. When you ski/snowboard down the mountain your adrenaline rises to max feeling the windchill from the steepness of the hill. It was a great time to be with my family. We all got to ski/snowboard together and experience memories that put an image that last for a lifetime.


  9. Spanish

    In Spanish we have been learning about Infinitives. I have learned how to say a lot of stuff. It has been a blast and very fun. I like Spanish except that my teacher won’t let me eat in class. We have learned to want, to go, and to like. We have also learned about things that are Hispanic states such as Puerto Rico and Guadalupe. Also we have learned about everyday stuff such as sports, food likes ice cream. We have watched videos about people in real life using Spanish to talk in school, home, and in sports.


  10. Kane

    Kane is my dog, even though in his head he is a 13 years old boy. He is a red Doberman. His appereance makes people scared even though he has the highest pitch voice ever and whines like a baby. But I love him, he plays football, soccer, lacrosse, and his favorite basketball. He plays sports such as football by catching the football in his mouth then running away from you. He plays basketball by dribbling with his paws and getting rebounds by jumping and hitting it with his mouth. He is the best dog I could ask for
